CBMM to Host Volunteer Fair June 27

June 14, 2019 by Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

Share

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is planning its first-ever Volunteer Fair, inviting both existing and potential volunteers to its waterfront campus this summer.

Scheduled for 10am–noon on Thursday, June 27, the Volunteer Fair will be a chance for guests to mix and mingle with current volunteers and staff members and to learn about volunteer opportunities with CBMM. The Volunteer Fair is free, but registration is encouraged to cbmm.org/volunteerfair.

CBMM would not be the success it is today without the generous commitment of its dedicated volunteers—over the past year, more than 280 volunteers logged more than 28,870 hours of service to the museum. Volunteers put their hearts into many facets of CBMM’s operations, including education, exhibition maintenance, gardening, boatbuilding, marina operations, administration, and so much more.

In addition to fellowship, training, and enrichment trips, volunteers also enjoy special events and socials throughout the year, an annual recognition reception, library privileges, discounts in the Museum Store, and more. For details, visit cbmm.org.
