CBMM’s July 4 Big Band Night Canceled

June 18, 2020 by Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

Share

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s annual Big Band Night on Saturday, July 4, has been canceled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are saddened that we are unable to celebrate the birth of our country with CBMM members and our local community this year. For the health and safety of CBMM’s staff and the community, CBMM’s parking lot will also be closed to cars and pedestrians effective 4:30 PM on July 4.

Since March 14, CBMM has been closed to the public on a 24-hour basis. This closure is in compliance with Governor Hogan’s directives and CDC guidelines, which also required CBMM to cancel most of its popular events and festivals that produce large gatherings. Although CBMM remains closed to the public, an announcement will be made soon on a campus-wide reopening.
