August 12, 2021 by Spy Desk

For the safety of its students, faculty, and staff, Chesapeake College is now requiring masks for those visiting its campuses for those who are not yet vaccinated. Masks are strongly recommended indoors for vaccinated individuals as well.

Chesapeake College follows CDC, state, and local guidance on these issues.

Why not require masks for everyone regardless of vaccination status? All Maryland counties, like the rest of the US have a surge in covid. CDC recommends masks indoors in all public spaces regardless of vaccination status for areas of substantial and high spread. Most of the mid shore is now in one of these two categories.
