Our year-end Talbot Association of Clergy and Laity (TACL) meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5 from Noon to 1:30 pm. at Third Haven Friends Meeting, 405 S.
Washington St., Easton, Md.
At our meeting we will honor two important local partners with awards, and will hear from guest speaker Melina Baer, Chesapeake College’s Dean for Students. Ms. Baer will share insights on the college’s programs, types of support services available to help students, and possible ways those in the local faith communities might support the college.
Ms. Baer joined Chesapeake College in 2011 as Director of Academic Support, where she led the consolidation and expansion of the College’s tutoring programs. In 2017, she became Chesapeake’s Dean for Students, charged with overseeing the reorganization of the College’s student services to support college-wide efforts to make it easier for students to get the help they need to meet their goals. She is a 2016 recipient of the American Association for Women in Community College’s “40 Women under 40” award.
In her free time, she enjoys time with family, live theatre and music, and traveling.
The meeting will also be a chance to check in with one another as summer begins after a busy year. Lunch will be provided. All are welcome!
