St. Michael’s Parish is holding its spring rummage sale on Friday, May 12, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 13, 8:00 a.m. to noon. Located in its Parish House on Willow Street in St. Michaels, it will offer incredible bargains on spring and summer clothing for women, men and children, shoes, kitchenware, linens, jewelry, books, artwork, toys, furniture and more. The Ladies’ Boutique offers special bargains on women’s fine clothing.
For items outside the church only, in its adjacent parking lot, the sale will begin on Tuesday, May 9, and will continue through Saturday, May 13, at noon. Articles available outside will include furniture, art work, small appliances, sports equipment, electronics and much more.
Local residents are encouraged to donate their gently used spring and summer clothing and household items to the rummage sale. Donations will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May 8, 9, and 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those making donations may request a tax form to verify their donation. For more information, call the parish office at 410-745-9076.
All proceeds from the rummage sale are given to charities and non-profit organizations that support children, families and the elderly. Rummage sale chair, Judy Sandground, said: “The rummage sale benefits many people in the community—those who use the opportunity to clean out closets and attics and donate items they no longer need, others who benefit from buying clothing and household items at incredibly low prices, and those served by the charities to which the church donates the profits from the sale. Everyone wins.”
