St. Michaels, MD has had to make room for the Classic Motor Museum’s (CMM) car clubs rolling into town this summer. The word is getting out to neighboring counties and states about the collection of vintage vehicles and the trips down memory lane that are available. The Classic Motor Museum is a non-profit on a mission to appreciate the motor vehicle’s history, educate local youth, and give back to the town of St. Michaels. This mission lends to the trend among today’s youth to pursue more hands-on careers, making available the examination of old motors and vehicles, fine tuning engines and even forming friendships along the way.
Please join CMM for this year’s fundraiser on October 19th from 4-9pm, a fun evening of Music, Motors and Mischief. This fundraising event promises to be a rollicking good time, with great local dance bands, great barbecue, great wine and beer, and an auction that will include some very special items. The venue – a stunning private family farm in Royal Oak – will be a highlight for everyone who attends. You and your guests will enjoy a rare opportunity to tour the owners’ two pristine “barns” housing exceptional collections of vintage vehicles, automotive gear, and western artifacts.
The Classic Motor Museum is located at 102 E. Marengo St. in St. Michaels. CMM has been open 7 days a week this summer, bringing business to local restaurants and stores and plans to remain open 7 days a week year-round. Discussions are also ongoing about the next First Gear Program project, so stay tuned!
Music, Motors and Mischief tickets are $100 each and available through the CMM website https://www.classicmotormuseum.org or by mailing checks to: PO Box 214 St. Michaels, MD 21663. If you cannot attend the event, but still want to donate, CMM notes that all donations are appreciated. Please call 410-745-8979 with any questions, to make reservations or to donate.
