Congressman Harris Says Talbot and Queen Anne’s County are not Sanctuary Jurisdictions

Congressman Harris Releases Statement in Response to Queen Anne’s County and Talbot County Being Listed As “Sanctuary Jurisdictions.

Congressman Andy Harris, M.D., released the following statement in response to the Department of Homeland Security listing Queen Anne’s County and Talbot County as “Sanctuary Jurisdictions.”

“Although there are Maryland counties and municipalities that unfortunately consider themselves sanctuary jurisdictions (including Baltimore County in the First Congressional District), Queen Anne’s County and Talbot County are certainly not. Our office is actively urging the administration to rectify this designation, freeing up federal resources to appropriately deal with those jurisdictions who refuse to comply with federal immigration law.”

If Talbot County is not a Sanctuary Jurisdiction, then how did it end up on the Department of Homeland Security’s listing? It would appear to be one of two possibilities. First, that the Trump Administration was in its customary rush to punish people and ignored the facts (and considered Andy Harris as irrelevant to check with). Or Andy was too busy in his own right to waste time protecting those of us in Talbot County. Either way, Talbot County deserves better representation in the House.

Both of your options could be true, and probably are.

Lordy, lordy, lordy. Why do we keep electing his man?

Perhaps if Andy Harris held IN PERSON town meetings he might know what is going on in his district. He obviously doesn’t know and we should demand to know why! He knows what Trump wands…he knows what the freedom caucus wants…but, when it comes to the people in the 1st district, he is clueless! Is it time to 86-ANDY-HARRIS by voting him OUT?
