Continuum Dance is offering weekly dance classes for adults of all experience levels on Monday evenings, from 5:30-6:30pm. These classes are a great opportunity for individuals to have fun while learning dance fundamentals, and are open to all levels of dance experience.
A combination of traditional dance artistry and educational body awareness, these 60-minute technique classes draw from a variety of dance styles. While working through the basic structure and progressions of a dance class, participants will learn dance fundamentals as they are led through warm-up combinations, dance movement exercises, and short segments of choreography. Classes are open to all levels – no dance experience is necessary.
Classes are offered in six-week sessions, with each six-week series focusing on a single dance style. Participants have the opportunity to attend individual classes or to sign-up for the series at a discounted rate. The next scheduled series begins June 13 with modern dance classes led by Continuum Dance’s founding Artistic Director Chloe Tong, and continues through July 25, with no class on July 4. The following series will focus on ballet technique, running August 1 through September 12, with no class on September 5.
Classes are held at Pulse & Beats, located at 8626 Brooks Drive, Suite 303 in Easton, Md. Individual classes are $20 each, or participants can sign-up for a six-week series for $100. Advance registration is requested at www.continuumdancecompany.org/upcoming-events/.
