June is just around the corner, and a summer of fun and adventure awaits your little campers at Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers (CACC)! CACC’s theme-based camps and hands-on activities provide endless fun throughout the summer as campers enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities, sports, cooking, swim lessons, and field trips.
CACC’s Ultimate Summer Camp Themes include:
Superheroes – Superhero week allows campers to create their own superhero persona to draw comics, and to examine elements of flight, and super strength.
Water Palooza – Campers will spend a week full of enjoying awesome water activities including water kickball, bucket brigade, and more!
Master Chefs – Tasty treats abound in this week full of deliciousness! Campers will learn to measure, mix, and create yummy and healthy treats.
Space Adventurers – Campers go to the moon and beyond as they build an international space station, fire off rockets, host an alien fashion show, and train to be an astronaut.
Ahoy Matey! – A swashbuckling adventure awaits as campers don their eye patches and race to the finish during a thrilling week of scavenger hunts. Campers will design a catapult, create a compass, build a boat, dig for buried treasure, and hone their pirate skills. Aaaarrrrgggghhhhl
Spirited Sports – Campers will have a ball as they discover their inner athlete. There will be four-square champions, kings and queens of the hula-hoop, basketball stars, and soccer MVP’s. Regardless of the sport, all of our campers are STARS this week!
The Great Outdoors – Campers will embrace the wonder of the great outdoors as they go on nature walks, identify birds, and build birdhouses. Hands will get dirty as campers plant gardens and investigate all the critters they can find!
Carnival Craze – Fun abounds during this weeklong carnival as campers create carnival games, eat carnival food, and just have fun! Campers will work together and have their own special carnival on that Friday.
Party in the U.S.A. – Happy Birthday America! Campers will celebrate the birth of our country with some independence week fun! Banners, flags, and patriotic games and crafts galore!
Wacky and Wild Science – Calling all scientists for a week of experimentation! Campers will take a fun and wacky approach to how and why things work.
Shark Week – Gear up for an underwater adventure as campers learn about those toothy monsters of the deep! They will dig for shark teeth, create and navigate an “underwater” obstacle course, and play games like Sharks and Minnows. This week will be a chomping good time!
Music Mania – Your music lover will leave this week on a high note after learning about different types of music, making their own instruments, learning dances, and much more. That’s something to sing about!
Summer camps begin the week of June 13 and runs through the week of August 22. Parent-friendly hours of operation are 6:45am – 5:30pm. Camps are $160/week, and tuition assistance is available for qualifying families.

Critchlow Adkins Children’s Centers is a local, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide quality, financially accessible childcare in a nurturing, diverse, safe and enriching environment.
