The Spy Intelligence Network is designed to recognize and encourage major operational support for The Spy’s mission. But it is more than a gift club. It is a way to build community around the belief that local journalism matters, and that informed citizens are essential to the future of the Mid-Shore.

Members will have opportunities to engage more closely with Spy writers, editors, and the publisher through conversations, briefings, gatherings, and special programs. These opportunities will continue the Spy’s tradition of civic self-enrichment: bringing thoughtful people together around issues, culture, history, and the future of our community.

This effort will also strengthen and expand programs such as Spy Nights at the Avalon, our ongoing partnership with the Avalon Foundation, and future events focused on the continuing need for local journalism in all its forms.

At its heart, the Spy Intelligence Network is about sustainability, but it is also about belonging. It is an invitation to those who believe that a community is stronger when it has its own independent voice, its own record of public life, and its own forum for thoughtful conversation.
