Easton Economic Development Corporation Carve out some time for Easton’s Fall Kickoff on October 4th and 5th! Shop, dine, and stroll the giant pumpkin trail in downtown Easton on Friday and Saturday with shops and galleries open and ready to help you stock up for the fall season.
Friday night between 5 pm and 7 pm watch live pumpkin carvings. You’ll have a chance to see the artists from Icelab work their magic as giant gourds become amazing works of art. There will be 3 live carvings sprinkled throughout downtown Easton that evening. Friday night also offers live outdoor music from 5 pm to 7 pm, free carriage rides from Tanglao Carriage Driving picking up in front of the Easton Visitors Center at 11 South Harrison Street, and many downtown restaurants will have autumn-inspired specials and cocktails.
October’s First Friday Gallery Walk will also be the perfect opportunity to find incredible, vibrant pieces from many talented artists. The Working Artists Forum and special guests invite you to attend Pretty in Pink, a fine art sale on Friday, October 4th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This free event honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month with proceeds to benefit the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center.
Cascading Carlos will be in Thompson Park from 5 p.m. to 7 pm with incredible juggling demonstrations and interactive activities. The Academy Art Museum will have free pumpkin painting and host a free movie night with an outdoor screening of The Addams Family.
“We’re excited to be a part of such a fantastic event in Easton,” said Jennifer Chrzanowski, Interim Director of the Academy Art Museum. “The town really comes alive with the pumpkin carving demos and our vibrant art scene. It’s a perfect weekend of creativity and community.
The fall festivities continue on Saturday. In addition to the artfully designed pumpkins adorning the town, a portion of the parking lot next to the Easton Visitors Center on 11 South Harrison Street will have fall fun for the whole family! The Easton Family YMCA will be the center of the new additions, boasting activities that will be available throughout the event to keep little ones engaged including a giant Connect 4 game, inflatable ring toss, bowling, and a craft table to create kites. The Be With Me Playseum will offer cookie decorating for an additional flare of
creative fun. Local hobby shop Two Pair will be handing out free promotional material, offering raffle prizes, and hosting demo games of the Pokemon Trading Card Game for all those interested. The Talbot Humane Society will also have a ‘kissing booth”, allowing everyone to interact with some friendly, furry faces.
From 12 pm to 4 pm, Cascading Carlos will again be set up in Thompson Park, and Tanglao Carriage rides will offer free rides around town. Pickup for the carriage will once again be on 11 South Harrison Street in front of the Easton Visitors Center.
