The Spy continues its informal series on profiling candidates running for office in 2022. Over the next eight months, we will be offering long-form interviews with those running for Maryland’s Governor, MD Congressional District 1, and several local elections in Dorchester, Kent, and Talbot Counties.
As per our educational, nonpartisan mission concerning all public affairs on the Mid-Shore, we believe these in-depth conversations offer a unique alternative to the traditional three-minute sound bite or quick quote. We will be talking to each candidate about their background, qualifications, and policy priorities as well as how they differentiate themselves from others running for the same office and the previous Hogan administration.
We continue with Katrina Whittington who is running for a seat on the St. Michaels Town Commission. Katrina was a civil servant with the United States Treasury Department for 28 years before her retirement.
This video is approximately six minutes in length. This election will be held on May 2 at the Edgar M. Bosley Municipal Building (Town Office), 300 Mill Street, St. Michaels, Maryland between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
All candidates for St. Michaels Town Commission were invited in participating in the Talbot Spy Election 2022 series. Commissioners Bibb and Khalil have not responded to date to the Spy’s invitation.

Thank you Talbot Spy for featuring these two very talented candidates for St Michaels Town Commissioners. Both Kat & Al bring a variety of skill sets that will serve the Town well. Both have strong financial backgrounds that prepare them to deal immediately with budgets, financial planning, and all related fiscal issues. And as anyone who listens to their interviews can recognize that they are both extremely articulate & express themselves well. An example of organized & clear thinkers. Clear, effective communication is what we currently lack that they, Kat & Al, can quickly restore. Vote for change! Vote for Kat & Al on May 2nd!
