Jt Smith says
Those responding to this survey will want to consider an article just published in Time. It recounts Hogan’s apparent failure to recuse himself from extensive decionmqking during his tenure with respect to a real estate firm controlled by him and his brother.
J.T. Smith says
The latest edition of Time has an article that may be relevant. It describes in considerable detail how Hogan as governor participated in numerous matters that apparently aided a real estate company owned by Hogan and his brother.
Ernest Chadderton says
I voted for Hogan the past two Governor elections. But I do not want to see the Republicans gain advantage in the Senate. Mitch encouraged him to run due to his good work for MD as Governor. I liked his stance against Trump, but I fear he would change course if elected to the Senate.
Willard Tod Engelskirchen says
I voted for Hogan twice. However, if Republicans control the Senate, it will not be good for moderate Supreme Court nominees or other office holders who need confirmation. I do not trust Hogan to be on the right side of social issues. I fear the worst if Hogan makes it into the Senate.
Lena Gill says
Angela Alsobrooks did very well in the debate. Hogan only did well, and he was nervous. She suggested that he should have run as an Independent for the Senate, if he really saw himself as a broker between the two parties. Now he was selected by the Republican party and is profiting from many millions contributed by a Republican PAC. In addition, he would alter the balance of power in the Senate, as the outgoing senator, Benjamin Cardin, is a Democrat.
Angela is a lawyer, was Prince George’s County’s first full-time domestic violence prosecutor, was its state’s attorney, and is today its county executive. During her 22-year tenure in the County, violent crime dropped by 50%. She was also instrumental in bringing the FBI headquarter and a new cancer center to the County. As county executive she has focused on bringing jobs and growing economic opportunities in the area. She has also broken ground on 10 new schools.
