This season, the owners of Emily’s Produce in Cambridge Maryland decided that their beautiful sunflower patch & maze and Fall Season mazes would be planted and created with a meaningful cause in mind. The Jackson family’s roadside farm market is celebrating 20 Seasons in business this year, and they have built a well-known establishment and reputation that focuses on hard working family values and community activism with a positive purpose.
In previous years, Emily’s Produce has offered a free Sunflower, Corn, and Milo Maze experience to their customers. This season, the family continued their focus of planting and designing 5 acres of sunflowers, corn, and milo for families to enjoy throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons, but they asked for a donation that would be passed directly along to a very meaningful organization. The donation was requested in honor of supporting a local military retreat (Patriot Point), which is situated just 10 miles from Emily’s Produce.
This retreat provides a relaxing and safe environment to enjoy outdoor recreational activities for our nation’s wounded, ill, and injured service members and their families.
On September 12, 2019, Kelly Jackson and her husband Paul, owners of Emily’s Produce, provided Steve Beck, President and Executive Director of the Military Bowl Foundation a $750 check in support of Patriot Point.
