On March 26, 2012 at approximately 1218 hours, Maryland State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision on MD Route 213, south of MD Route 309. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Silver Chrysler 300, operated by James Michael Chastain (56yo) of Stevensville, Maryland was traveling southbound on MD Route 213 and for an unknown reason, crossed a double yellow line and entered into the northbound lane, striking a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban head on. The driver of the Suburban, (17yo) of West Grove, Pennsylvania was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital. His passengers are as follows:
Front seat passenger – Julie Ann Harrison, 44yoa, Transported to Shock Trauma
Rear seat passenger Juvenile (unavailable at this time) Shock Trauma
Rear seat passenger Juvenile (unavailable at this time) Shock Trauma
Rear seat passenger Juvenile (unavailable at this time) Easton Memorial
The driver of the Chrysler, James Chastain was pronounced dead on the scene.
