First Responders Celebration 2022 Set for June 18 to July 4, 2022

Grateful Talbot County residents, Paul and Joanne Prager, and the Bluepoint Hospitality team are honored to announce the second annual First Responders Celebration. This year, the 557 women and men who serve as State Troopers (Easton Barracks), Sheriff and Police officers, EMS, and in all seven of the County’s volunteer fire departments will receive a Bluepoint Hospitality gift card valued at $100. A token of gratitude to those who come running in our most vulnerable moments, the cards will be good for a dedicatory period of June 18th to July 4th, 2022.

“Talbot County first responders were dispatched over 60,000 times in 2021. Almost 2,000 of those calls were to our unpaid fire fighters,” says Prager. “The burden they bear on keeping our community safe is extraordinary and it is our hope that they feel seen and valued for the important work that they do.”

With the intention of growing the annual celebration into a widespread community initiative, Bluepoint Hospitality welcomes fellow Talbot County merchants to join in on the festivities. Already, many business owners have jumped at the opportunity, offering discounted or complementary goods and services in their retail shops, restaurants, and wellness venues. The growing list includes:

• The Tidewater Inn’s Hunter’s Tavern and Terrasse Spa: 15% off at both locations. • Easton Acupuncture: Free acupuncture session ($90 value).
• Tiger Lily: 10% off all food and beverage items.
• Out of the Fire: 10% off food and beverage.
• Gift with purchase at The Mercantile.
• $25 off any purchase at Studio B.
• 10% off any color service at Elizabeth Claire Salon.

Once finalized, the list of participating businesses will be available at bluepointhospitality.com.

On June 15th, Governor Larry Hogan will join the Prager Family and Bluepoint Hospitality in recognizing Talbot County’s finest. The brief ceremony will be held at the Service Memorial at the corner of Dover and West Streets at 10am. Local businesses and residents are encouraged to attend and show their support.

A longtime resident of the Eastern Shore, Prager fell in love with the area during his years at the Naval Academy and returned to build a retreat for his family, and, eventually, the endearing collection of establishments that is Bluepoint Hospitality. Not only is the hospitality group one of downtown

Easton’s largest employers, but The Prager Family’s philanthropic spirit – by way of Bluepoint Hospitality – has touched countless individuals and local organizations. In 2022 so far, that includes sponsorship of Easton Little League, the Talbot County Free Library’s Summer Reading Program, Chesapeake Film Festival, For All Seasons, Honor the Blue & Red Banquet, Flags for Heroes, and more.
