The Mid-Shore Community Band presents a free “All-American 4th of July Concert” at the Amphitheater at Sailwinds Park from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday, July 4. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Children, as well as friendly dogs on leashes, are welcome to join in the fun. Free admission (donations welcome). Pete’s PeteZa food truck will be on hand selling food, or bring your own picnic. Stay for a view of the Cambridge’s fireworks over the Choptank River, which start at dusk (usually a little after 9pm).

In case of bad weather, check for updates on the I Love Dorchester County Facebook page.

The Amphitheater at Sailwinds Park is next to the Dorchester Visitor Center at 2 Rose Hill Place in Cambridge. This event is part of the “At The Sail” series of events organized by Dorchester County Tourism, Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, and City of Cambridge.

Start the Independence Day celebration early with the 4th of July Celebration, which begins at 12pm the same day, just a quarter-mile down the waterfront at Governor’s Hall at Sailwinds Park, 200 Byrn St. This family-friendly event, hosted by Groove City Entertainment, features live performances, music, vendors, food, drinks, and games and bounce house. There will also be a car show featuring Slingshot Cars.
