Big deal. How many can afford to dine at this overly pretentious eatery and sample his oh-so-wonderful cooking? I did one time and vowed it would be the last. Good only for those who wish to make an ostentatious display of their wealth. Note how the seating is arranged so that the elegantly dressed patrons are on full display to the proletariat outside. Same thoughts for the nearby “Stewart” single malt scotch mansion of pseudo-sophistication. This is Talbot County folks, not Palm Desert or the Hamptons. I’ll take Ava’s great pizzas anytime.

So Talbot County can’t aspire to greatness because it’s not The Hamptons? Why can’t it just be Talbot County, and set its own standards? You can eat wherever you like. And I’m sure that, like you, Bas Rouge customers also enjoy a good pizza! It’s not an either/or proposition. So I’m not sure why you feel the need to actively criticize a restaurant simply for offering something you don’t want. You’re not the only inhabitant of Talbot County! Just be thankful for the wide range of choices available. And congratulations to Chef Peet for achieving the excellence that some people will always despise. Keep going!
