Someone said recently that Ken Kolodner was a good dulcimer player because he had just the right amount of fire. It the world of dulcimer playing, that is high praise indeed.
And lucky for the Mid-Shore some of that fire will be on display Saturday night in the Stoltz Listening Room at the Avalon.
Ken Kolodner, one of the most influential hammered dulcimer players and old-time fiddlers in the country, teams up with his son Brad, a rising star in the clawhammer banjo world, to push the boundaries of the Appalachian tradition by infusing it with their unique and innovative interpretations of traditional and original fiddle tunes.
