Only open-minded Independents, Republicans, and Democrats can heal our “Divided States of America”.
Entrenched Democrats and rigid Republicans can only magnify the bitter division and righteous tribalism that is tearing America apart. In fact, they largely caused this condition.
Thankfully, the majority of us Eastern Shore voters make up this “Patriotic Center”!
We are the citizens, regardless of Party label, who place Country above Party and who consciously strive to vote for the best candidates to represent all citizens…not just our special interests. We want our representatives to be pulling together through mutual respect to solve the dire problems America faces. And we got some doozies!
But,in order for our Shore “ Patriotic Center” to prevail, We must all get out and vote! Otherwise, the tribes and special interests win.
Here in our First District, we are privileged to have two dramatic opportunities to vote for “ Country over Party and service above self”. These two Servant Leaders are Larry Hogan and Jesse Colvin who just happen to have opposing party labels. But that is not what defines them. They both believe in crossing political divides and running toward America’s serious problems. For them, it is not about power, reelection, lobby money, or status. It is about old fashioned service. It is about caring so deeply about your country that you would risk your life to save it.
Make no mistake, it is harder to be a voter from the “Patriotic Center” than to be a party-liner. You can’t just robotically check all the candidates one party is pushing.
That’s mindless and easy. You have to work your way through the ballot and consciously select the candidates you believe are best for the Shore, for Maryland, and for our Country.
Two of the candidates worthy of our extra effort are JESSE COLVIN and LARRY HOGAN who put the USA and all of their constituents first.
Vote Early. Vote from your ‘Patriotic Center’. And , most importantly, please VOTE!
