Our men and women in the Armed Services are deployed in dozens of countries. We hear a great deal about some wars, very little about other areas of tension and fighting. Today the president announced his withdrawal from the long negotiated international deal to keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Threats have been flying back and forth between blustering North Korean and American leaders, with only a glimmer of hope that any “deal making” will be considered legitimate at the very same moment the Iran deal is being dissolved.
I want a representative in Congress whose sympathies lie with his electorate here in MD rather than out-of-state donors; who knows first-hand the impact of combat and understands that diplomacy is far preferable. I shall be voting for Jesse Colvin in the upcoming primaries and the November election.

Agree, anyone would be better then the current do-nothing/say-nothing incumbent.
Good riddance Andy Harris.
Willard Engelskirchen says
I agree. We need a rep who listens to our people. I have tried to communicate with Andy Harris. He sends back boiler plate responses that do not touch my issues.

I’ll be voting for whoever wins the Democratic Primary and not for that %$%#@$%^& Harris. The FEC.GOV campaign finance stuff is interesting. Turns out that both Colvin and Harris get 65% of INDIVIDUAL contributions from Maryland and 35% from out of state. BUT Harris gets 38% of his TOTAL contributions from political committees; Colvin less than 1%. The Harris committees are mostly doctor associations and other medical groups – mostly out of state.
Carol Voyles says
There may be a place for Andy Harris’ leadership, but it’s hard to imagine where that might be. In what other nation could a physician claim single payer healthcare should not be an option while superior outcomes are delivered around the world at half our cost?
A drug that could help my husband, Esbriet, costs $96,000 per year in the United States, and just $4 – 6,000 annually in Europe, where we would likely live longer.
