The Talbot County Public Schools teach our children that bullying is unacceptable, maybe the so-called Bipartisan Coalition should go back to school. Their personalized attack on Jennifer Williams is nothing more than despicable bullying. Their methods are hateful and sadly transparent. The self-serving members of this Coalition are well aware that they cannot influence or control the conscientious trio of Williams, Pack, and Callahan. While like-minded on many issues, the three incumbents have always voted their conscience and their decisions have not been compromised by special interest constituent pressure. These votes, as well as all other voting, is a matter of record and is available to the public. Based on the voter support of the primary election, the Coalition certainly realized an assault on all three was not going to have the results desired. They also realized that Coalition control of the County Council only requires three Coalition controlled votes.
All they really needed to do was eliminate one of the three incumbents and hope for three of “their” candidates to be elected. Williams received the lowest Primary vote count of the three incumbents and they recognized that she was the most vulnerable. They abandoned their assault on all three and re-focused the attack on Jennifer Williams alone. Support of any of the Coalition’s slate of candidates should be considered carefully and suspected as a vote for special interest Bipartisan Coalition control of the County Council. Sadly, if the Coalition succeeds they will always believe that the “ends justified their DEPLORABLE means”. Please vote carefully.

Thank you Jason for saying what so many think. It is bulling and shameful. This is just the type of behavior I would think this group would be against and yet they are the ones actually causing the problem.

It is *not* “bullying” to seek to have elected officials voted out of office based on their record as public servants – it’s what politics and elections are all about. If you’re in any way claiming that the attacks have been untruthful, then say so. Forming a coalition to unelect a politician based on their records seems to me to be a sign of healthy democracy, not bullying.
