The Talbot County Council has had a contentious few months. The good news is – more people are informed about matters impacting the County.
Hundreds of people attended several County Council public hearings and witnessed first-hand Council President Jennifer Williams in action, turning a deaf ear to many of the people who came to voice their concerns about the changing landscape of Talbot County. Laura Price and Dirk Bartlett were the only two members who heard the people and responded with integrity. Mr. Bartlett has decided he has had enough and is not running for re-election. We are so fortunate that Laura Price, despite the disrespect she has been shown by the Council President and Vice President Corey Pack, is running for re-election and working hard to earn your vote.
The other incumbents running for re-election will say what the voters want to hear to get your vote, but if elected, will act on the wishes of the special interest groups who support them.
Please do not vote along party lines in this local election! We need members on the County Council who will listen to their constituents. Vote for Laura Price, Peter Lesher, Keasha Haythe and Naomi Hyman – they care what you think.
