Local Color 2019 Exhibit and Sale During Plein Air Easton

The Local Color Art Show and Sale is a prestigious, annual art show and sale sponsored by Working Artists Forum (WAF), held during Easton Plein Air Art Competition and Art Festival.  Plein Air Easton draws people from all over Maryland and the U.S. to Easton during this event.

This exhibit and sale, from July 19th through July 21st, is held in the Crystal Ballroom of the historic Tidewater Inn, located at 101 E. Dover Street, and features paintings of two dimensional art in acrylic, watercolor, oil and pastel.

Local Color is open exclusively to artists of the Delmarva Peninsula (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) and WAF members.  Artists in this exquisite exhibit have been juried into the show.

WAF is pleased to announce this year’s Judge, Tim Bell, Grand Prize Winner of Plein Air Easton 2018.  This year’s Juror was Aimee Erickson, Second Place Winner and Best New Artist of Plein Air Easton 2018.

The opening ceremony, open to the public, is Noon on July 19th,  with announcements of the winners chosen by Tim Bell.

In addition, WAF offers a number of demonstrations by notable plein air painters throughout the weekend. All demonstrations are free and are held at the Tidewater Inn.  The demonstration schedule is:

Tim Bell – Friday, July 19th,1-3 pm.

Zufar Bikbov – Friday, July 19th, 3:30-5:30 pm

Mark Shasha – Saturday, July 20th, 2:30-4:30 pm

Aimee Erickson – Saturday, July 20, 5-7 pm

Qiang Huang – Sunday, July 21, 9-11

Kim VanDerHoek – Sunday, July 21, Noon-2 pm

Be sure to put this exhibit on your calendar, and enjoy exceptional art and demonstrations throughout the weekend.  Artists will also be painting outside the Tidewater Inn.  So, stop and watch them work before visiting the show in the Crystal Ballroom.
