Rachel Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing at Londonderry on the Tred Avon, was recently elected Chairperson of the Talbot County Commission on Aging. Smith was first appointed to the Commission in 2020 and began her second term in 2023.

Her expertise in senior housing and ability to lead and bring individuals and organizations together are assets to the Commission and to Talbot County. Her leadership on this commission is a wonderful example of local professionals giving back to improve the lives of their neighbors.”
The Talbot County Commission on Aging is charged with enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Talbot County by advising the Talbot County Council on issues affecting seniors and advocating for change as needed. With representation from community organizations and businesses serving seniors, local experts and other involved citizens, the Commission promotes the interests, well-being, and quality of life for senior citizens in Talbot County. The Commission hosts educational seminars and conversations focused on issues facing seniors as well as community events such as the Senior Supply Drive and Senior Resource Fair.
