What is Bullying? It is defined as a form of aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle action. The bullied victim typically has trouble defending themselves and does nothing to provoke
the abuse. Bullying occurs in our schools, workplaces, homes and playgrounds.
Author and psychologist Fran White has focused much of her work on addressing the problem of bullying in society. Her latest book, Nicki Nice’s Bully, is one in a children’s series on the topic of bullying in our schools. The main character, Nicki, describes to the young reader what a bully does and how to change their frightening behavior.
