Spy Philanthropic Investment

The Talbot Spy has three primary sources of revenue to cover its operating costs. The first is traditional advertising and corporate underwriting. The second is the Spy’s new membership program where it encourages its loyal readers to partially support hyper-local news and arts coverage through annual voluntary dues.

The third is the philanthropic investment from individuals and private foundations to provide direct assistance for the Spy as well as provide in depth coverage of important special issues that face Talbot County and the greater Eastern Shore.

The Spy’s major philanthropic support comes with no direct benefits other than the continuation of the Spy’s mission to serve its community.

The Talbot Spy perspectus video is approximately two minutes in length
