On November 25, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office charged Jamie Lynn Vickers, 31 of Easton, MD for bringing contraband into the Talbot County Detention Center. Vickers was incarcerated at the Detention Center and appeared for a Court hearing where it was determined her incarceration would continue. A search of Vickers was completed at the Detention Center and it was discovered she was concealing contraband upon her return. Vickers was charged with bringing contraband into a detention facility and remains incarcerated.
Easton – On November 27, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9000 block of Black Dog Alley for a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Christopher Lee Mauk, 27 of Easton, MD with injuries to his face. Christopher advised he had an argument with his wife that turned physical and she caused the injuries. The Deputies located Billie Jean Mauk, 35 who admitted striking her husband. Billie Jean Mauk was arrested and charged with second degree assault. Billie Jean Mauk was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered her held on a $7,500.00 bond.
Easton – On December 2, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Ocean Gateway near Hiners Lane for exceeding the posted speed limit by 30 mph. The vehicle was identified as a 2002 red Ford Focus being operated by Erin Mary Kolle, 19 of Derwood, MD. Upon approach, the Deputy detected the odor of burning marijuana and a search of the driver and vehicle revealed an amount of marijuana and a glass smoking device. Kolle was issued a criminal citation charging her with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Kolle was released upon her signature on the criminal citation.
Easton – On December 2, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office served two outstanding warrants on Ashley Marie White, 29 of Trappe, MD for violation of probation. A search incident to arrest was completed and a syringe used for injecting heroine was located on her person. White was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who ordered White held on a $10,000.00 bond. White was issued a criminal citation for possession of paraphernalia.
Easton – On December 3, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the intersection of Locust Grove Road and West Point Road for a trespassing. The caller advised a white truck with trailer left the property heading towards Oxford and was subsequently located and detained by the responding Deputies. The occupants were identified as John DeRochbrune Wharton, 53 of Easton, MD and Franklin DeRochbrune Wharton, 18 of Oxford, MD. It was determined the Wharton’s were trespassing on the property for firewood. John and Franklin Wharton were issued criminal citations, charging them with trespassing on posted property and released with their signature.
