Tilghman – On July 27, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of Grimes Lane for an assault. Deputies contacted Aaron Matthew Curtis, 20 who advised he was in an altercation with his sister, Rachel Lynn Curtis, 16, both of the same address. Aaron Curtis advised Rachel Curtis threw a knife at him causing a puncture wound to his chest, which the Deputies visually verified. Rachel Curtis was arrested and transported to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office charged as an adult with 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault and assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. Rachel Curtis was taken before a District Court Commissioner and ordered held on a $3,000.00 bond. Aaron Curtis refused medical assistance.
Easton – On August 11, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6000 block of Cooke’s Hope Road for an unconscious person. At the residence, Deputies discovered Odilon Media Bernardo, 18 of Easton, MD passed out on the screened in front porch of the residence. Bernardo appeared intoxicated and could not explain why he had entered the residence. Bernardo was arrested and charged with 4th degree burglary and taken before a District Court Commissioner. The Commissioner released Bernardo without finding probable cause to substantiate the charge.
Easton – On August 11, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 6000 block of Hopkins Neck Road in reference to the theft of a cellular phone. Garrett Pfeifer of Baltimore, MD reported his ex-wife had stolen his cellular phone and made threats to him and his current girlfriend. After investigation, Jennifer Ann Pfeifer, 45 of Towson, MD was placed under arrest for theft and failing to obey the lawful order of a police officer. Jennifer Pfeifer was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance. The victim’s cellular phone was recovered from Jennifer Pfeifer’s vehicle at the scene. The victim and his ex-wife are co-owners of the residence where this incident occurred.
Easton – On August 12, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 8000 block of Black Dog Alley for a reported domestic assault. The investigation revealed Arthur E. Flanders IV, 36 of Glen Burnie, MD assaulted his girlfriend, Brenda Lee Smith and threatened her with a firearm. Flanders was placed under arrest and the firearm was recovered. The firearm was identified as a .22 rifle and was found to be stolen with the serial number altered. Flanders was charged with assault, theft, knowingly altering a firearm ID number and felon in possession of a rifle. Flanders was ordered held without bond by the District Court Commissioner.
Bozman – On August 13, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 7000 block of Bozman Neavitt Road for an assault. Information was relayed that the suspect, Joseph Pugh, 50 of Bozman, MD left the area in a gold colored Nissan. Deputies observed the vehicle on St Michaels Road and conducted a traffic stop. Joseph Pugh was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. Investigation determined Joseph Pugh struck his father, Stephen Pugh, 85 with a closed fist causing extensive facial injuries. Stephen Pugh was transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for his injuries. Joseph Pugh was charged with assault, driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, failing to control speed to avoid an accident and failing to remain at the scene of a property damage accident. Joseph Pugh was seen by a District Court Commissioner and ordered held on a $15,000.00 bond.
