SMAL Announces Winners of Annual Members Show

The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) is pleased to announce the winners of their 2025 Members Show featuring all mediums.

The show was judged by Susan Schauer John, fiber artist and owner of the Zebra Gallery located at 5 N. Harrison St. in Easton, Md. Susan has gained national notoriety with her unusual medium also known as “thread painting.” 

First Place was awarded to Ted Mueller for his photograph “The Kiss.” Second Place went to Scott Sullivan for his pastel painting “Gull.”  Third place was awarded to Beth Wright for her gouache painting “Forest Tapestry.”  Honorable mentions went to Caryl Ersenkal for her acrylic painting “East Meets West” and to Maryellyn Lynott for her oil painting “Longest Day.” 

You can view the entire member’s exhibit during the month of June at “The Blue Crab” located at 102 S. Fremont St. in St. Michaels. The Blue Crab is now owned by The Bagery which also has a location in Easton.  The Blue Crab is open daily 7am-3pm, serving a variety of beverages and food items. Art for sale at the venue.
