Spy Eye: Juneteenth at the AAM for 14 Years and Counting

Agent 99 reported in on the 14th annual Juneteenth celebration in Easton at the Academy Art Museum:

On a bright Saturday afternoon, the Academy Art Museum hosted its 14th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on South Street. From noon to 4 p.m., the street was alive with music, dancing, and community spirit. The theme this year was “Our Freedom! Our Story!”—a reminder of the power of storytelling in Black history and

Families gathered under tents, enjoying food from Spanky’s Soul Food and watching performances by local artists like Ruby Fisher, Jayla Elise, and poet Jeffery Boston Weatherford. Inside the museum, kids designed colorful bandanas inspired by Kente cloth and listened to special readings.

The Spy was there, catching just a few moments via video format.
