Families gathered under tents, enjoying food from Spanky’s Soul Food and watching performances by local artists like Ruby Fisher, Jayla Elise, and poet Jeffery Boston Weatherford. Inside the museum, kids designed colorful bandanas inspired by Kente cloth and listened to special readings.
