Spy Surveillance: the Changing of the Grauls in St. Michaels

June 21, 2025 by Spy Agent 5 - 00 Section

Share

Agent 005 filed the following story about an occurrence at the former Grauls today, which was the official grand opening of The St. Michaels Marketplace, formerly Grauls:

John and Paige Evans, who had run Grauls for 21 years, sold the store on St. Michaels Road on May 9, 2025. The sale does not impact the other Grauls locations. St. Michael’s lost its full-service in-town grocery store in 2017 when ACME closed its doors, and residents migrated their shopping to Grauls and other stores. Our Spies report that the St. Michael’s Marketplace’s grand opening was crowded and festive, featuring music, kids’ bouncy castles, and other forms of entertainment. Most importantly, it was nice to see the same friendly staff who made Grauls such a pleasant place to shop still at their posts at the renamed St. Michaels Marketplace.

The store is looking great! And it’s so nice that my friends are still there.

With a few exceptions, I see all new staff here. But at least they are keeping the shelves stocked.
