St. Michaels Art League Photography Show

First Place Winner of 2019 Photography Show “Cocentricity“ by George Sass.

The St. Michaels Art League (SMAL) announces a member’s Photography Exhibition at the St. Michaels branch of the Talbot County Free Library during the month of November.

The show will be judged by famed environmental photographer Dave Harp. Dave’s work has appeared in the Smithsonian, Audubon, Sierra Club and NY Times magazines, among others.  He has published 8 books about the Chesapeake and is also a videographer who has worked on several environmental films that have aired on MD Public TV, such as “An Island Out of Time” about Smith Island, and “High Tide in Dorchester.” Dave has a photography business in Cambridge and will also be speaking about his work at the Maritime Museum in November.

Photography by SMAL members will be on display at the St. Michaels Library from November 2 through November29. Works are available for sale through the artists. The library is located at 106 Fremont Street, St. Michaels. Revised library hours are Monday and Thursday:10 a.m. to noon and 3-7p.m.On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday hours are 9a.m. to noon and 2- 5pm. (Library is closed mid-day for cleaning). At this time, the library is closed on Saturdays.
