St. Michaels Fire Department 2020 Awards

SMFD Top 10 Responders

On April 26, 2021, St. Michaels Fire Department held a small, member-only ceremony to present the 2020 Department Awards. Following brief speeches by Past-President Jessica Kastel and Chief Phil Jones, the following awards were presented:

The Awards given were:

Firefighter of the Year: Joe Griebel

Rookie of the Year: Brady Jones and Nick Mosner

Trustees’ Award: Pat Mosner and Joe Griebel

Administrative Member of the Year: Frank Hopkinson and Kathleen Brady

President’s Award: Holley Guschke and Phil Jones

Golden Gavel presented to Jessica Kastel for her 4 years of service as President

Top Ten Responders and 2020 Rank:

A larger event will be held in late summer to recognize and thank the many individuals and organizations that help support the St. Michaels Fire Department in its mission to help protect residents and victors of Talbot County.
