On May 24, 2018, 42 student-members of the Sts. Peter and Paul—St. Vincent de Paul Club received Award Certificates as members of the Youth ministry of the St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference in Easton, MD during the 2017-2018 school year.  Awards were presented by Lisa Morrell, leader of the SSPP-SVdP Club and assisted by Paula Broll.  Eight Vincentians of the Conference’s leadership team attended the award ceremony and personally thanked and congratulated each student for their service to help those in need in Talbot County.

The SSPP-SVdP Club is comprised of Middle School students from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Easton, MD.  The awards signify the achievement of the students toward the three essential elements of the SVdP Society—Spirituality, Friendliness and Service.  Twice a month, the students support the Conference’s Food Pantry and Thrift Center ministries on Canvasback Drive.  During monthly SSPP-SVdP Club meetings, the students offer prayers for the needy and prepare crafts and gifts for clients.
