Sunday School for The Church of the Holy Trinity started on September 18 with the “Blessing of the Backpacks” during the church Service. These backpacks contain work to be done and returned, books to be studied and tools for homework. Notebooks, pencils, pens, protractors, compasses, crayons, rules, scissors, glue sticks and other items used for school work will find their way in and out of these backpacks. Each and every day these backpacks represent work required of students. And, as in every aspect of our life, we bring these before God for blessing.
Sunday School starts for The Church of the Holy Trinity! This fall the theme will be the Holy Eucharist. Children will learn the history and theology of Holy Communion, the meaning of different parts of the sacramental celebration, and how to receive the Blessed Sacrament. Barbara and Father Kevin Cross have created a booklet an children will illustrate this booklet and Legos will be a part of the learning process!
Another part of the curriculum will be focused on the UTO – the United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Church. Under the leadership of Maryann Hensinger, we will have the blue boxes and will be talking about gratefulness.
Our Sunday School is geared for children in Kindergarten and up. Registration forms can be obtained on the church website or by calling the church office, 410.226.5134. If you have questions, please call the church office and leave a message for Barbara.
