June 19, 2020 by Talbot Historical Society

This Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection photo will be included in our new Mary Jenkins House African American Room that was supposed to open in June but because of COVID 19 work was halted and it will now be opened sometime in the fall. Talbot County’s African American community has given us so much help in planning and identifying many pictures locations and the people in them! This is a church service in the Union Baptist Church in Easton, Maryland. Among those pictured are Lutia Cephus, Ellice Roberts, Lillian Roberts, at the pulpit Professor Turner, Robert Pette, Mary Copper, and Billy Jenkins on the piano.
