The Talbot County Arts Council has approved Community Arts Development Grants to twenty-five organizations for arts-related programs and projects during fiscal year 2013 (July 2012 through June 2013). The Arts Council has tentatively budgeted $45,000 for these programs. The exact dollar amounts of individual grants must await advice from the Maryland State Arts Council on the size of its allocation for the coming year. The recipients of this year’s grants are:

- Academy Art Museum, Inc., for a general operating grant
- Avalon Foundation, Inc., for a general operating grant. Also project grants for Plein Air-Easton Art Competition and Festival in July; Passport to the Arts quarterly community arts calendar; Avalon Outdoors including Summer Concert Series and Cinema by Starlight, the Arts in Easton banner project, and the annual Multi-Cultural Festival in Idlewild Park; and Avalon Outreach, including five free daytime performances for students at the Avalon Theatre and five summer camp programs: Petite Players for children in grades K-3, Curtain Call for grades 3-8, SummerFame for grades 4-12, Avalon Stage Door for grades 8-12, and Acting for the Camera for grades 8-12
