Talbot Association of Clergy Annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

November 20, 2019 by Talbot Association of Clergy and Laity (TACL)

Share

The Talbot Association of Clergy and Laity (TACL) will hold its annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service this Sunday, November 24, at 4 p.m. at Temple B’nai Israel, 7199 Tristan Drive. The service is long-standing tradition in the county, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in the spirit of gratitude and unity. All are welcome to be a part of this family-friendly service.

The service this year will include a variety of music and story, and a message on “The Hope of Thanksgiving” offered by Pastor Walt Wiltschek.

Walt Wiltschek serves as pastor of Easton Church of the Brethren and as an academic advisor at Chesapeake College. He also does frequent writing and editing and serves as chair of the board for Camp Mardela in Denton. Walt was born in Germany and grew up in Pennsylvania and moved back to the East Coast in 2017 after a decade and a half in the Midwest. He is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, Lancaster Theological Seminary, and Northern Illinois University.

Our collection at the service will be donated to the Neighborhood Services Center, which provides services and assistance to low-income families and elderly residents in Talbot County Maryland, and to the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center which serves children, youth and adults guided by its mission “to empower people from different cultures to become successful and engaged members of our community.”

Light refreshments will follow.
