Talbot County Health Department to Host Community Baby Shower

May 15, 2024 by The Spy Desk

The Talbot County Health Department, in collaboration with other local organizations, is providing a community baby shower to support new and expecting Talbot County families. The Community Baby Shower will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 10am to 2pm at Easton Elementary School.

The baby shower is free and open to any Talbot County residents with children under two, or families who are currently expecting. Local community resource groups will be available to share information and resources. Items such as diapers and other baby gear will be given away free of charge.

“Having a child is an exciting time, but it can also be extremely expensive,” said event organizer Rachael Crawford. “The community baby shower allows us to share resources and support local families during a time that’s often joyful but stressful for families. This is truly a community-led effort to prepare families with what they need and to create an environment that’s supportive.”

Individuals planning to attend may pre-register by calling 410-819-4712 or by registering at the door.
