Talbot County’s chefs and restaurateurs again invite residents and visitors on a culinary journey of discovery as they showcase their finest dishes and most creative cooking during Restaurant Week 2014.
Now in its fifth year, this week-long event runs March 30 through April 5 and is sponsored by the Talbot County Office of Tourism and Talbot County Tourism Board. Restaurant Week spotlights many of the local eating establishments that grace the treasured towns and communities of Talbot County and offers food lovers the opportunity to try new restaurants or revisit favorites.
Restaurant Week begins with a fabulous launch party on March 30, when The Oaks Waterfront Inn in Royal Oak opens its doors for Celebrate Talbot! Sample, Sip and Savor from 2-4 p.m. Chefs from local restaurants and food businesses offer generous tastings of their finest dishes. The price is $40 per person, with advance ticket purchases recommended.
Throughout the week, participating restaurants will treat lucky guests to special prices and menus. Two-course lunches will be available for $20.14, while three-course dinners are priced at $35.14. Prices do not include tax, tip, or beverages.
The list of participating restaurants and food businesses is long and prestigious. Participants include 208 Talbot Restaurant, Ava’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar, Bartlett Pear Inn, Bistro St. Michaels, Blackthorn Irish Pub, Brasserie Brightwell, Chapel’s Country Creamery, Doc’s Downtown Grille, Gluten Free Bakery Girl, Harbourside Tavern, Harrison’s Chesapeake House, Hunter’s Tavern, Latitude 38 Bistro & Spirits, Marcoritaville Tiki Bar & American Grille, Mason’s Gourmet Restaurant, Mitchum’s Steak House, Out of the Fire, Peacock Restaurant & Lounge, Pecan Yummies, Pope’s Tavern at the Oxford Inn, Portofino Ristorante, Scossa Restaurant & Lounge, Sherwood’s Landing, St. Michaels Crab & Steak House, The Crab Claw, The Greens at Easton Club, The Masthead at Pier Street Marina, The Robert Morris Inn, Theo’s Steaks, Sides & Spirits, Two If By Sea Café.
