There are a few pictures of this plant in the Talbot Historical Society’s H. Robins Hollyday Collection of photographs from the 1920’s through the 1960’s. Though the location was not identified this appears to be the Hillsboro and Queen Anne, Maryland area on Tuckahoe Creek? Can you share any history about this massive business? What is in this location today?

Looks like a cannery, they used to be all over the shore. I’ll bet that creek would stink when they were working!

This is a picture of the former Fox Cannery in Queene Anne. They processed peas, corn, beans etc. They did not process tomatoes, so the creek didn’t smell. I believe this picture was taken in the late 60s due to the two metal buildings on site.
