On August 11, 1954 a fire started behind the People’s Meat Market on Goldsborough Street Easton, Maryland and spread to and destroyed McCrory’s Department Store! McCrory’s was an L shaped store that ran from Washington Street to Goldsborough Street. This remarkable photo shows the reconstruction of the area where “ Out of the Fire” Restaurant and Lizzie Dee are today! Facts: “Easton Album” by Norman Harrington 1986.
