Talbot Historical Society Project Rewind: Checking Out Where the New Dairy Queen is Going

November 21, 2025 by Talbot Historical Society

Can you help identify the location of this Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection aerial photo? Seeing it has brought back 1950s memories for me of a fenced-in, large junk yard that was on Route 50 in Easton, Maryland, near the intersection of Matthewstown Road and Route 50. The Easton Diner and Fisher Auto Parts are now in that location? Perhaps the White House, located far to the right, is the one that is currently behind Garden Treasures? Is that Dairy Queen across Route 50 from the junk yard? Are there any auto salvage yards in Talbot County today?
