So many interesting things to look at in this early 1900’s photo of the Texas Company on South Aurora Street Easton, Maryland! The Texas Company was founded in Beaumont, Texas in 1901 and the popular nickname Texaco was registered as a trademark in 1906! Can you help us date the trucks? How amazing is the mule? drawn oil delivery vehicle! Facts: Wikipedia. Photo from the Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection.

Your Texaco article took me way back to the nineteen forties and early fifties when we listened to radio broadcasts of “The Texaco Star Theatre.” I can remember the thrill of finally seeing the chorus, a quartet of singers performing the commercials in their spiffy uniforms. I can still remember most of the words to their theme song.
When I outgrew Milton Berle, I enjoyed their Metropolitan Opera Broadcasts for many years with Milton Cross.
Thanks for the memories.
