This Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection photo will be included in our new Mary Jenkins House African American Room that was supposed to open in June but because of COVID 19 work was halted and it will now be opened sometime in the fall. Talbot County’s African American community has given us so much help in planning and identifying many pictures locations and the people in them! This is a church service in the Union Baptist Church in Easton, Maryland. Among those pictured are Lutia Cephus, Ellice Roberts, Lillian Roberts, at the pulpit Professor Turner, Robert Pette, Mary Copper, and Billy Jenkins on the piano.

Larry Hitchens says
Hi,
My name is Larry Hitchens and I designed and donate
the website for the St Stephens AME Church in Unionville
something I’ve done as a community service for about five years now. There are a TON of historical photos there including some photoshop designs I did for the church and an article that was published in the 1807 “Poulson’s American Daily Advertiser” a newspaper in Philadelphia relating to the founding of the AME Church I purchased two original copies one I donated to the Church and one I donated so they could give their Bishop a copy.
I did several designs with photographs of the Cowgill’s explaining how they sold land for $1.00 to the returning civil war
Veterans to build their church.
I could go on and on but when you have the time take a look at the site here

If you would like to have any of the images jpeg or if I can be of any help to you just email me at [email protected]
