Identified are left to right: Elizabeth Lewis, Mabel Greenhawk, Sara Newnam, Miriam Bringman, ? unidentified man with cap, Lester Gibson and Roland White. The Oxford High School students were moved to Easton High School in 1938. Fact: “Oxford Treasures Then and Now” by Douglas Hanks, Jr. with the Oxford Museum. Sara Newnam, pictured 3rd from left, is my Aunt. My father, Wm. Spry Denny Newnam, Jr. was her brother. All of her siblings also graduated from the Oxford High School… Joseph Spry Newnam, and Francis Usher Newnam. Sara married Capt. Wm. Lindale Benson, of the Oxford Ferry fame! We are a very proud Talbot County family.
