This Talbot Historical Society H. Robins Hollyday Collection photo was taken c.1968 of the Calvary Methodist Church on North Washington Street, Easton, Maryland being demolished to make room for the new Safeway structure! The Calvary Methodist Church was built in 1830. It was sold in the late 1950’s when three Easton Methodist churches joined to build St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. The church housed the Easton YMCA until the new YMCA was built in 1968.
