Melvin Edward Price (b. 1920 d. 2014)was Easton, Maryland’s own Country Music Legend! Mel served in the Santa Fe Infantry Division of the Army during World War II and often entertained the troops while there. When he came home in 1945 he started the Band Melvin Price and the Santa Fe Rangers and traveled all over the world entertaining troops! I remember Mel playing before the Saturday afternoon movie at the Easton Movie House. And we would dance in the aisles. Maybe the mid 50’s??
