Do you remember Mr. Price at a Flying A gas station? Can you identify the location of this gas station? The service gas station across the highway has the name Quidas on it. Perhaps this was on Route 50 in Trappe, Maryland? Full service gas stations are certainly a thing of the past! Photo from the Talbot Historical Society’s Laird Wise Collection.

Actually full Sevice stations are not a thing of the past. The state Of New Jersey prohibits people to pump their own gas and has attendants galore! It’s a good good job maker. By the way Petaluma California Just banned any new gas stations to be constructed in their town being the first city to approve such a bill. And thankfully This means that gas stations finally are coming to an end as electric cars take over. Gas is messy and it’s toxic to the environment, long May it fade.

This gas station was at the corner of Rt. 50 and Piney Hill Road in Trappe, next to Pops Market.
